February 14, 2012: Wi-Tronix Systems Selected for CN’s Entire Fleet of Locomotives
Wi-Tronix®, LLC (Bolingbrook, IL) - announced today that they have entered into a contract with CN for fleet wide deployment of Wi-Tronix suite of locomotive remote monitoring solutions. CN will be installing Wi-Tronix systems on new locomotive purchases as well as retro fitting its fleet of locomotives with Wi-PU’s. The Wi-Tronix system provides CN with the benefits of ready access to locomotive on-board data, fuel conservation monitoring and improved fleet productivity. Since Wi-Tronix was selected as CN’s preferred remote monitoring solutions provider in 2007, over seven hundred systems have been applied on CN’s newest EMD SD70M-2 and GE ES44DC and recently rebuilt GP38-2 locomotives.

April 7, 2009: Amtrak Teams with Wi-Tronix For Remote Monitoring
Wi-Tronix has been selected by The National Railroad Passenger Corporation (AMTRAK) to provide remote monitoring for Amtrak’s entire fleet of diesel electric locomotives. The Wi-Tronix system enables Amtrak to meet its goals of improved customer service, service reliability and safety. Wi-Tronix will be providing a complete turn key system that includes the Wi-Tronix Wireless Processing Unit (Wi-PU), Wi-Fuel Sensor, Wi-Fuel Display, Wi-Cab Display, Locomotive Digital Video Recorder and Camera. Wi-Tronix is also providing installation services for the 262 systems including, General Electric P38-8 and P42 Genesis locomotives along with Electro-Motive F59-PHI locomotives.

October 14, 2008: Wi-Tronix Wi-PU’s to be installed on CN Distributed Braking Cars
Wi-Tronix announced today that CN is deploying Wi-Tronix’s suite of remote monitoring solutions on its fleet of Distributed Braking Cars (DBC). Wi-Tronix solutions will enable CN to utilize this highly developed suite of software to run longer trains in the winter months from Winnipeg to Edmonton. The DBC are placed at the end of trains to maintain air brake pipe pressure at a certain operational level. The Wi-Tronix system provides CN with the benefits of GPS asset tracking, Fuel level, Refuel Alerts, Engine Monitoring, Main Reservoir Pressure Reporting, Battery Voltage, and Alarm Reporting along with improved fleet productivity.

September 22, 2008: BNSF Selects Wi-Tronix Remote Monitoring For Over 800 Locomotives
Wi-Tronix announced today that BNSF has placed orders for over 800 of its remote monitoring systems. The Wi-Tronix system provides BNSF with the benefits of ready access to locomotive on-board data, increased asset utilization, fuel conservation monitoring, locomotive digital video recorder health monitoring and improved fleet productivity. BNSF is deploying the Wi-Tronix systems on their GE AC4400, GE Dash 9 and EMD SD70MAC locomotives. Installations will begin next month and expected to be completed by mid 2009 bringing the total installed BNSF locomotive fleet to nearly 1,000 Wi-Tronix systems.

Wi-Tronix announced today that CN is expanding its deployment of Wi-Tronix’s suite of locomotive remote monitoring solutions. CN is retrofitting all 35 of its GEVO locomotives delivered in 2006 with the Wi-Tronix system. With these 35 systems, the Wi-Tronix system will be deployed on the entire CN GEVO fleet of 90 locomotives. Wi-Tronix system provides CN with the benefits of ready access to locomotive onboard data, increased asset utilization, fuel conservation monitoring and improved fleet productivity. Since Wi-Tronix was selected as CN’s preferred remote monitoring solutions provider in 2007, over one hundred and eighty systems have been applied on CN’s EMD SD70M-2, GE ES44DC and recently rebuilt GP38-2 locomotives.

Railhead Vision Systems and Wi-Tronix have teamed to provide a combined video and event recorder monitoring system for the New Mexico Rail Runner Express.  The jointly developed system generates a single downloadable file containing both video and data extracted from an applied event recorder.   This innovative system also enables real-time, wireless access to download video and event recorder information.

March 25, 2008: Watco Selects Wi-Tronix Solution to Reduce Fuel Cost
Wi-Tronix announced today that Watco Companies, Inc. is expanding its deployment of Wi-Tronix's suite of remote monitoring solutions.   The Wi-Tronix solution provides Watco an immediate return on investment in several areas.  The Wi-Tronix Wi-PU continuously monitors locomotive operation and allows Watco to identify operational improvements that result in fuel savings and extend equipment life.  The real-time alerting capabilities of the Wi-Tronix system pin-points areas for improvement so that cost savings can be quickly implemented.  The Wi-Tronix solution has enabled Watco to identify and eliminate the primary cause of excessive traction motor wear significantly reducing costly traction motor replacements.  Wi-Tronix is placing valuable information at the fingertips of Watco’s management team resulting in a significant reduction in operating cost.

Fred received his B.A. in Business Management from Lewis University in 1996.  Fred joins Wi-Tronix with over seven years of transportation industry experience, a proven track record of success and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.  He began his professional career as a Regional Sales Manager at Portec Rail Products, Inc. where he successfully developed and maintained relationships with many of the Class I railroads, short lines and maintenance facilities.  Fred also has a purchasing background. At Trinity Rail, Inc., he was responsible for purchasing material for as many as nine facilities. Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) and Wi-Tronix have completed deployment of Wi-Tronix’s wireless remote monitoring solutions on FEC’s entire locomotive fleet.    FEC’s wireless monitoring system is comprised of two core Wi-Tronix products, Wi-Tracker and Wi-DownloadER.  Both products utilize Wi-Tronix’s ruggedized onboard Wireless Processing Unit (Wi-PU).
