The Wi-PU is a powerful ruggedized computing platform combined with state-of-the-art
wireless technologies. Wireless modems and transceivers are integrated inside
the Wi-PU in order to improve reliability and simplify installation. The Wi-PU includes Ethernet, USB and serial connectivity in order to connect with external
systems such as engine controllers, data recorders and sensors. The Wi-PU
avoids the use of a rotating hard drive to ensure reliability in the most severe mobile
environments.
The Wi-PU can be configured to cost effectively meet your current and future needs. Wireless options
can be easily added and deducted from the modular design. Additionally, the Wi-PU can be augmented with
a rugged LCD touch panel. This capability can be used to implement additional crew oriented features.
